“NADECO and Tinubu criticized Gen. Sani Abacha as the military leader who thwarted the 1993 June 12 elections that represented the desire of the Nigerian people. Strangely, NADECO is battling the same kind of dictatorship precisely 30 years later, in 2023, but this time it's a far more dangerous civilian dictatorship called a kleptocracy, which is mostly maintained by one of the people who opposed Abacha back then.

Even because the fraud was committed by one of its founding members does not mean that NADECO will ignore it. As a previous founding member of NADECO (USA), Bola Ahmed Tinubu is officially severed from NADECO as a result of his involvement in the greatest election fraud in recent Nigerian history.

“The four horsemen of democracy's demise — bribery, voter intimidation, insecurity, and vote rigging — will all be used to skew the results of the 2023 presidential election, according to NADECO, in an effort to deny the Nigerian people their right to vote. Due to its refusal to transmit the results in real time, INEC's actions obviously constituted carelessness per se and electoral fraud because they went against the very laws and regulations that are intended to guard against the kind of fraud that was being created. The Nigerian people, who are supposed to be the ones the law is meant to protect, have instead become the victims of the egregious injustice it has brought about.”
